A Yeovil man who persuaded teenage girls to send him pornographic pictures of themselves through social media was told he had caused them considerable harm.
Christopher Flindell, 25, of Balmoral Road, who has Asperger syndrome, pretended to be 15 in messages he sent to his two victims, aged 13 and 14, Taunton Crown Court was told.
The messages became sexual and one girl believed he performed a sex act while on the phone to her, said William Hunter, prosecuting.
They exchanged naked photographs of themselves and he exchanged intimate pictures with the other girl, who thought he was a teenager. He told her he would like to meet her and have sex.

Yeovil nursery worker who sexually abused boy, 6, re-interviewed by police after fresh allegations made by another alleged victim
A NURSERY worker who admitted sexually abusing a six-year-old boy is being re-interviewed by police after another person came forward with fresh allegations.
George Noel, of Preston Grove, Yeovil, was due to be sentenced in a hearing at Taunton Crown Court on Friday.
But prosecutor Mary McCarthy told the court the defendant was involved in an ongoing investigation.
And she said defence lawyers wanted the 19-year-old to be released from custody.
An application for bail was due to be heard yesterday and Noel was remanded in custody pending its outcome. A previous application was rejected by magistrates sitting at Yeovil.
Judge Geoffrey Mercer adjourned the case to receive a psychologist’s report and said sentencing would take place in September.

Yeovil paedophile jailed for four years after grooming 10-year-old girl
Police have said they fear that a “predatory” man has committed more disgusting offences against children after finding hand-drawn posters the paedophile used to lure children into his home that date back to when the paedophile lived in west Somerset.
Paul Francis has a 30-year history of offending was jailed today for abusing a girl of 10 – after he went unchecked and was allowed to live overlooking a playground. Francis was first convicted in 1973 and has served sentences of up to nine years.
When police raided his home they found a diary and pictures of young girls.
Posters were also found dating back to the time he spent living in Williton, prompting police to appeal for any victims to come forward.

Burt was sentenced to just one year imprisonment. However he was freed the same day as he had spent 26 weeks on remand
Burt was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 5 years and as given three years community service
Burt is has been banned from unsupervised access to any child aged under 16 years old

A YEOVIL man has been remanded in custody after admitting sexually abusing a six year-old girl.
Mark Anthony Burt, aged 48, of Hawks Rise, was brought before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil, in custody after being arrested by the police.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of touching the young victim in a sexual manner at Yeovil between October 1 and 31.

Yeovil man who groomed schoolgirls on Facebook for sex escapes prison sentence
A YEOVIL man who groomed “vulnerable” teenage girls for sex through social media has been spared a prison sentence after a judge said it would not help him reform.
Jacob Wood, 20, of Charles Road, contacted girls aged 14 and 15 through Facebook and other sites and incited them to engage in sex, Taunton Crown Court was told.
He admitted four charges of sexual activity with a child, five of causing or inciting a child to engage in sex and one of causing a child to watch a sexual act. He asked for seven further offences to be taken into consideration.

Pensioner jailed for sex offences against 3 girls in Surrey and North East Hampshire
A pensioner has been jailed for a string of sex offences against girls in Surrey and North East Hampshire.
69-year-old John Wooldridge, of St Johns Road in Yeovil has been jailed for five years.
His victims were as young as 10 and he carried out abuse over almost two decades.
The offences happened at houses in Guildford, Ash and Aldershot in the 1970s and 80s.
His victims were aged between 10 and 17 at the time.

8th Apr 1961 Sidney Cooke is fined £20 for indecently assaulting a boy in a cinema. Until convicted in 1987 for the “dirty dozen” offences this was Cooke’s only conviction for a sexual offence.
1973 Leslie Bailey is accused of the attempted murder and indecent assault of a seven year old girl but confusion over the admissability of evidence meant the charge was reduced to possessing a knife. Bailey was given probation for possessing an offensive weapon and spent three months in a mental hospital in Kent after the incident.
1977 Lennie Smith is convicted for an offence of gross indecency and serves a year in prison.
